How Does This Thing Work?

We have recently started to give Jackson a fork or spoon to eat his meals. He usually gives it the 10 second try and then resorts to using his hands. This is exactly what he did today with a HUGE bowl of applesauce. He quickly became frustrated with the spoon and then tried the old standby of his hands. He was met again by frustration when he was unable to get a healthy mouthful using his hands. What a mess!
